It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Hornyak of Pascoag, Rhode Island, who passed away on October 20, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Florence Hornyak to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Hornyak; her parents, Fredrick Smith and Florence Smith (Tillinghast); and her brother Frederick Smith, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, John Hornyak (Monique) of Watsonville, CA, Denise Grenga (James) of Greenville, Florence Stevens (Newton) of Pascoag and Fran Esquite (Estuardo) of Woonsocket; her grandchildren, Celeste, Andrea, Michael, Jet, Ricky, Jeremiah, Bradford and Josh; and her great grandchildren, Jacob and Allison.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holt Funeral Home (510 S Main St, Woonsocket, RI 02895). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund, 14 Rock Ave., Pascoag, RI 02859.
