He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Ryan M. Stone of Pascoag; his parents, Lloyd "Skip" Stone of Woonsocket and Sandra J. Stone (MacLeod) of Plainfield, CT.; his wife Tracey A. Stone (Anderson); his siblings, Jeffrey (Denise) and Erin Vezina (Stone) of Norwich, CT; and his siblings' children, Bridget, Chad, Colin, Jessica Anderson and Kevin Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Skull and Swords Scholarship Fund in Matthew's name.
