He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Pacheco; his parents, Manuel Moniz and Irene Amaral Moniz (Silveiro); and his daughter Irene Borges. He is survived by: his daughter Rosa Perreira of Pawtucket; his siblings, Joao Moniz of Jacksonville and Odette Moniz of Sao Miguel, Azores.; his grandchildren, Candace Perreira, James Borges and Phillip Borges; and his nieces and nephews, Susana Pattison, John Moniz, Manuela Moniz and Joao Moniz.
