He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Costa and Deolinda Da Costa (Loureiro); and his brother Claudino Santos. He is survived by: his siblings, Manuel Santos, Maria Violante Torres, Clarinda Martins, Dolores Medeiros and Carminda Antunes. He is also survived by two nieces, nine nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews, alongside numerous loving cousins.
