He was predeceased by : his parents, Cipriano R. Pavao and Maria Da Conceicao Pavao (Sousa); and his brother Manuel Sousa Pavao. He is survived by : his wife Maria S. Pavao (Ferreira); his children, Andreia Ferreira of Attleboro, Ana Pavao of Pawtucket and Michelle Pavao of Pawtucket; his grandchildren, Briel Frias, Adreana Frias, Junior Frias, Liliana Ferreira and Evan Ferreira; and his siblings, Jose Pavao of Taunton, Maria Ferreira of Montreal, Filomena DaCosta of Montreal and Lina Benevides of Sao Miguel.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Rebello Funeral Home & Crematory (901 Broadway, East Providence, RI 02914). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Francis Xavier Church (81 N Carpenter St, East Providence, RI 02914). A committal service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (550 Wampanoag Trl, Riverside, RI 02915).
