The memory of Gloria Pires of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 2, 2025 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Gloria may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gloria touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Francis A. Pires; her parents, Raymond Murphy and Annette C. Murphy (Gosselin); and her siblings, Eileen Rock and Raymond "Norman" Murphy.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott Pires of Wisconsin and Christopher Pires of Texas; and her siblings, Constance Mullen of West Warwick, Mary Garant of Debary, Florida and Thomas Murphy of Hollywood. She is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
