She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel D. Vargas; her parents, José Dias Pereira and Albertina Pereira (Machado); and her brother Manuel Alexandre Pereira. She is survived by: her sons, Idio Vargas of Westerly and Antonio Vargas (Paula) of Pawtucket; her grandchildren, Fabian Vargas and Elliana Simão; and her sister Maria Goncalves.
