She was predeceased by : her parents, Cesar Tiago and Maria Teresa Fortes; and her husband Americo P. Monteiro. She is survived by : her children, Renato Monteiro, Jailson Monteiro, Americo Monteiro, Julia Fortes Glicerio and Joao Monteiro; her grandchildren, Malik Monteiro, Parisa Monteiro, Niziyah Monteiro, Kylie Monteiro, Skylar Monteiro, Jayda Monteiro, Nereida Lima, Katy Dias, Paulo Dias and Enzo Fortes; her great grandchildren, Denis Glicerio and Liam Lima; her siblings, Julio Fortes, Antonio Fortes and Albertina Fortes; and her close friend Adelia Oliveira.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keefe Funeral Home (5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Church (32 Lawn Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02860).
