He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Kayata and Mary Kayata (Echo); and his brother Mitchel Kayata. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Kayata (Corley); his children, Patricia Kress (Andrew), Suzanne Kayata (Scott Whitney), Michael Kayata (Joyce) and Christopher Kayata (Tammy); and his siblings, George Kayata, Joseph Kayata and Helen Daneau. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
