It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John L. Thornton Sr. of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William P., Sr. and Annette; and his sisters, Lauraine, Frances, Sandra and Teresa.
He is survived by: his spouse Gale M. Thornton (Kotlarski); his children, John L. Thornton, Jr. and Stephanie G. Thornton; and his brother William P. Thornton, Jr.. He is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
