He is survived by: his wife Vitoria Lopes (Mota); his children, Paula Lopes, Joana Lopes (Fernando Santos) of Luxemburg, Benvindo Lopes Santos (Aida Santos) and Maria Espirito Santo Lopes (Paulo Rocha); and his sisters, Filomena Julia Delgado (Lopes) and Lourenca Julia Gomes (Lopes). He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, loving nieces and nephews, many godchildren, and scores of friends.
