He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francisco Coelho and Maria Linhares Avelar; his wife Maria Elsa; his children, Susy Peddle (Jeffrey) and Victor Avelar (Christine); his brother Jose O. Avelar (Maria C.); his grandchildren, Ryan Clemente (Kenneth Testa Jr.), Halley Peddle, Chloe Peddle, Christopher Clemente, Celia Avelar and Marcus Avelar; and his siblings, Maria Avila and Francisco O. Avelar.
