He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Whalen and Carol Whalen (Lyons); and his sister Paula Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Heather L. Whalen of Pawtucket and Dillon P. Whalen (Katlyn) of Warren; his stepdaughter Amanda Hoftalen of Fall River, Massachusetts.; his grandchildren, Kaisen, Wyatt, Oliver, Ciara, Noah, Izaiah and Jayden; his siblings, Colleen Costa of Johnston, Norma Bettencourt of Exeter and Joey Whalen of Riverside; and his pet Gizmo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
