It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Charles Vassar of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 12, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin R. Vassar and Lillian B. Vassar (Ouellette); his brother Roland Lester Vassar; and his son David M. Vassar. He is survived by: his wife Loreen C.; his children, Lisa L. Godfrey (David G. Godfrey, Sr.) of Norton, MA and Steven Vassar; his grandchildren, Erin L. Godfrey, Lily A. Godfrey, David G. Godfrey, Jr., Joshua D. Godfrey (Vilma Godfrey), Julia M. Vassar and Bailey B. Vassar; his great grandchildren, Brady, Bryce and Bradley Godfrey; his sister Judy Renchan (Luke Renchan) of Central Falls; and his sister-in-law Marcia Theresa Vassar of North Attleboro, MA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
