He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Gannon (Gunning); his parents, Matthew Gannon and Anna Gannon (Dunleavy); and his siblings, Mary McHale, Margaret Durkin, Joseph, John, Thomas, Agnes and Matthew Gannon.

He is survived by: his children, Helen Gannon (Susan LaPorte) and Patrick Gannon (Carol); his daughter-in-law Susan L. Gannon; his grandchildren, Christine Prescott, Jacqueline Gannon, Sean Gannon and Merrill Gannon; and his great grandchild Ian Prescott.
