He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola May (McGowan) and Joseph Souza, Sr.; his significant other Cindy Martin; and his siblings, Joseph McGowan Souza, Jr., Thomas Charles Souza, Marie Souza, Harriet Idaray Souza and Mary Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathryn Hardy of Alabama, Cayla Marin of Alabama and Rebecca Higgins of Georgia; and his sisters, Beatrice Cardoso (Antonio) of Pawtucket and Donna Vasquez of Florida. He is also survived by 10 beautiful grandchildren.
