She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl D. Barrie and Mildred Barrie (Higgins); her husband Carl W. Schmidt; and her daughter Carla S. Bell (Schmidt). She is survived by: her sister Evelyn Scharer (Barrie); her son Scott W. Schmidt of Pawtucket; and her granddaughter Sarah E. Weygand of Leavenworth, KS.
