He is survived by: his daughter Arelis Hood; his stepchildren, Sonia and Eddy; his grandchildren, Everly, Kimberly and Jaslene; and his siblings, Norma Smith, Nancy Nieves, Alejandrina Piekarski, Yolanda Nieves, Silvia Soto, Jose Nieves, Felix Nieves, Ediberto Nieves and Rafael Nieves.
