He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Capraro and Maria Capraro (Centracchio); his wife Elizabeth Kalfaian; and his siblings, Jean Borelli and Diana Avarista.

He is survived by: his son Anthony P. Capraro, Jr. (Karen); his girlfriend Lorna Proffit; his stepson Curtis Proffit (Tracey); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Del Sesto (Greg), Olivia Capraro, Kaylin and Marcus Proffit.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gentiva Hospice in "Smiley's" name.
