He was predeceased by: his spouse Nelia M. Tavares Cabral; and his parents, Manuel and Maria (Pereira). He is survived by: his children, Hugo Cabral Ponte of Providence, Jessica Morin (Matthew) of Washington, Stefhanie Ponte of Georgia and Jason Ponte of Providence; his grandchildren, Darian Ponte, Reagan Morin, Elena Morin, Mason Underwood and Nelia Underwood; and his siblings, Antonio M. Ponte, Adriana M. Ponte and Adalina M. Canto. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church (21 Traverse St, Providence, RI 02903). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
