We announce the death of Celida A. Fernandez (Providence, Rhode Island), who passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 98. Celida will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She is survived by: her children, Gladys Diaz, Santiago Fernandez, Angela Lopez, Luis Lopez and Mercedes Lopez; and her siblings, Emilio, Alfonso, Enrique, Andres, Marcos, Lidia, Beatriz and Sister Melania. She is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
