He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bentz and Rita Bentz (Nelson); and his brother John "Jack" Bentz. He is survived by: his wife Joan Bentz (H'mura); his children, Heather DeAngelis (Michael) and Michael Bentz; and his grandchildren, Jarek Bentz (Dorcas) and Jenna Bentz.
