He was predeceased by: his brother Kevin F. Barry of Providence, R. I.; his aunt Ellen Quinn of Providence, RI; and his cousin William F. Quinn of Cranston, RI.. He is survived by: his children, Kevin D. Barry (Judith Barresi) of Cape Elizabeth, ME and Shauna Degnan (Barry); his son-in-law Robert Degnan; his grandson Aidan Degnan; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler Degnan and Matthew Degnan of North Providence; his cousin James Quinn of Providence; and his former wives, Gail E. Barry (Seriani) of Stonington, CT and Marika L. P. Van Vessem.
