He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Archibald and Dorothy A. Archibald (Reis); his brother Walter Reis; and his stepsister Bertha Mauricio. He is survived by: his wife Carol Archibald (Coachman); his children, Earl W. Archibald Jr. of Providence, Cheryl Bennett of East Providence and Leann Archibald of East Providence; and his siblings, Leroy "Sassy" Archibald, Kenneth Reis, Russell Archibald, Lois Gomes and Joyce Waters. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
