It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith A. Kur of Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her significant other Dr. Carolyn Ruth Swift; and her parents, Jacob Kaplan and Betty Kaplan. She is survived by: her children, Richard Gurspan (Deborah Petrarca) of Warwick and Nina Carmel; her granddaughter Ruby Carmel of Lincoln, MA; her children, Paul Gurspan of Jamaica Plain, MA and Pamela Ewings of Pawtucket; her friend Christine Chester; her siblings, Leo, Phil and Penny Kaplan; Stanley Gurspan of Brookline.
