She was predeceased by : her parents, Jake Wise and Annie Mae Wise (Jeffries); and her husband Wilford Noble Ashley. She is survived by : her daughters, Kelly Ashley-Bangoura (Aly), Sherese Ashley-Foye (Kenny), Alyssa Ashley and Nicole Ashley-Gilbert (Kevin); her siblings, Louise Jenkins, Gladys Harris, Larry Wise and James Wise; and her granddaughter Kennice Ashley-Foye. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ (25 Mystic St, Providence, RI 02905). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at the North Burial Ground (5 Branch Ave, Providence, RI 02904).
