He was predeceased by : his parents, Raul Mota and Gloria Mota (Garcia). He is survived by : his wife Lilia Mota (Goncalves); his children, Nelia DaSilva (John), Ana Pacheco (Carlos) and Victor Mota (Missy); his grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew, Randy Pacheco, Nico, Victoriana Mota, Amber and Hollie DaSilva; his great grandchildren, Isabel and Owen; and his sisters, Julia Carreiro and Louisa DaMota.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home (2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI 02889). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
