It is with great sadness that we announce the death of First Class Emmett W. Goodridge Jr. (Providence, Rhode Island), who passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though First Class Emmett may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Mercy Goodridge; his daughter Temmet Goodridge; his parents, Rev. Emmett Goodridge Sr. and Rev. Rose A. Mensah; and his sisters, Rosemet Fischmann, Winifred Goodridge and Theltease Goodridge. He is also survived by his uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, and a host of other relatives.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (375 Broad St, Providence, RI 02907).
