He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinando Scungio and Maria Scungio (D'Amore); and his sisters, Amelia Botelho and Angela Petterutti. He is survived by: his wife Rosanne Scungio (Calitri); his son Gary A. Monti (Michele); his granddaughters, Sophia and Isabella; his son Steven A. Monti (Jean); his grandchildren, Laura and David; his sons, Joseph Tortolani (late Barbara) and Robert Tortolani (Susie); his grandchild Devi; his son Michael Tortolani (Janelle); his grandchildren, Alyssa and Kasey; his daughter Karen Welch (late Larry); his grandchildren, Kristen and Tony; and his siblings, Roger Scungio (Jean), Alex Scungio (Janice) and Veronica Paolino. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Fred's memory to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
