He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Phillips and Leonia Phillips (Martin); his significant other Valerie Martinelli; and his brother Thomas Phillips. He is survived by: his siblings, Leona "Lea" Phillips of Barrington, Charles Phillips of Riverside and Vincent Phillips of Barrington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
