He was predeceased by: his spouse Emmalina Greene (Fratus); his parents, Charles Greene and Mae Greene (Vincent); his sons, Richard and William Greene; his grandsons, Gerald Greene III and Andrew Greene; and his siblings, Charles Greene, Bernadette Arruda, Carol Angarella, Elsie Vadnais, Joseph Greene, Norman Greene, Rita Walther and Anita Tasca.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Greene, Jr., Marie Lariviere, Joseph Greene, Dori Greene, Bernadette Greene and James Greene; his sister Patricia Valis; and his pet Max. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Skeffington Funeral Home & Cremations (925 Chalkstone Ave, Providence, RI 02908). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (550 Wampanoag Trl, Riverside, RI 02915).
