We announce the death of James D. Kilpatrick (Providence, Rhode Island), who passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 99. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
James will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew James will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Kilpatrick and Dorothy L. Kilpatrick. He is survived by: his wife Louise Herminie Kilpatrick (Lacour); and his children, Thomas W. Kilpatrick (Janina) of North Kingstown, RI and Nancy E. Weyman (Stanley) of Coventry, RI. He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Swan Point Cemetery (585 Blackstone Blvd, Providence, RI 02906).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Association.
