He was predeceased by: his son Patrick Owens McAleer; and his brother Joseph T. McAleer (Maureen). He is survived by: his wife Diane Lillis McAleer; his son Steven Lapham McAleer (Charlotte Ostberg McAleer); his grandchildren, Thomas, Dana, Ella and Nicholas; his siblings, Sheila McAleer Middleton (Jim Middleton), John E. McAleer (Beverly) and Francis P. McAleer (Leda Michaud); and his brothers-in-law, Bernard F. Lillis (Palma) and Robert P. Lillis (Carole). He is also survived by extended family includes many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
