He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Carpenter (Macaruso); his son John B. Carpenter; and his parents, Benjamin Carpenter and Lucia Carpenter (Violette). He is survived by: his children, Daniel Carpenter (Kerri) of North Providence and Sherry Carpenter of Providence; his daughter-in-law Kristen Carpenter (Dinan) of Goffstown; and his brother Jerry Carpenter (Shirley) of Herndon, Virginia.. He is also survived by grandsons.
