He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Wojtanowski (Roy); his parents, Joseph Wojtanowski Sr. and Lucille Wojtanowski (Cease); his children, Kelly DeSimone and Randy Wojtanowski; his siblings, Edward Wojtanowski, Donald Wojtanowski and Lucille "Marie" Hruska; and his sister-in-law Diane Wojtanowski.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Vasquez (Edgar) of Cranston, Joseph Wojtanowski (Rosey) of Cranston, David Wojtanowski (Traci) of Providence and Lynda Handy (James Jr.) of Cranston; his son-in-law Fred DeSimone; his brother Dennis Wojtanowski (Carmen) of Ohio; and his sister-in-law Judy Wojtanowski. He is also survived by grandchildren and eight adored great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Nardolillo Funeral Home (1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (550 Wampanoag Trl, Riverside, RI 02915).
