It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Josephine S. Izzi (Providence, Rhode Island), who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Marchese and Antonina Marchese (Gullo). She is survived by: her brother Phillip Marchese; her children, Anthony Izzi and Lori DeLisi (Paul DeLisi); her grandchildren, Larissa DeLisi (Jonathan Biliouris) and Michael DeLisi; her great grandchild Santino Biliouris; and her sisters, Agnes Salvatore (Marchese) and Mary Cortez (Marchese).
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home (971 Branch Ave, Providence, RI 02904). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Ann Church (280 Hawkins St, Providence, RI 02904).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or a local animal shelter in honor of Josephine.
