She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Effie B Smith and Emilio Rivera Sr.; her husband Marvel Winfield; her children, Teneka Garnetto, Malinda Winfield, Asia Winfield, Mark Smith and George Morgan; her stepchildren, Richard Taylor, Yana, Tene, Keisha, Kimberly Poston, Sondra and Darnella Pompey; her siblings, Angelique Smith, Samatha McDade, Emilio Rivera and Jerry McDade; her brother-in-law James Lee; her grandchildren, Darchelle, Ny'Lasia, Na'Jalise, RaJhelle, Ri'lleigh, Lucille, Denyelle, Xavier, Rashaad, James, Walter, Quadir, Jovani, Deyquan and John; her nieces, DaJuana, Indea, Evelyn and Rosetta; her great-niece Zyonah; her nephews, Darrell, Emilio, Naszarine and Kevin; her children-in-law, John Garnetto, Rodney Thomas and Angel Soares; her close friend George Morgan; her son James Rivera; her stepfather Jerry W. Smith; and her grandson Rasean. She was also cherished by seven step brothers and five step sisters.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bell Funeral Home, Inc. (571 Broad St, Providence, RI 02907). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
