Kathleen Waters Obituary

We announce the death of Kathleen Waters of Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on June 30, 2026, at the age of 77. Kathleen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward McElroy and Lois Campbell McElroy; her sister Karen Reiner (McElroy); Kathleen "Katie" Waters and Richard "Ricky" Waters.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Waters of Providence, Debra, James and Bernard; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicole, Brian, Kendra, Dillon, Tommie, Daniel, Melissa, Brittany, Ricky Jr. and Ethan; her great grandchildren, Anthony, Jordan, Jailah, Layla, Gio and Julio; her great great grandchild Tony; and her siblings, James McElroy, Maureen McElroy and John "Jackie" McElroy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mansion Nursing Home in Central Falls, in Kathy's honor.
