It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kurt A. Raaflaub of Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 12, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kurt A. Raaflaub to pay them a last tribute.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Boedeker; his stepchildren, Edgar Boedeker of Cedar Falls and Nancy Boedeker of Indianapolis; his brothers, Beat and Hans-Ueli Raaflaub of Basel; and his sisters-in-law, Marianne, Monika and Amy Massie (Dickmann) of St. Louis. He is also survived by seven nephews and nieces.

Donations in his memory may be made to Brown University or the Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island.
