The passing of Lois A. (Hinz) Oehlkers (Providence, Rhode Island) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 2, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brother-in-law Robert (Meredith Oehlkers); and her parents, Elmer Hinz and Arvina Hinz (Voight). She is survived by: her husband William J. Oehlkers; her sister Ellen (Robert) of Virginia; her children, Ruth Kirlew (Peter) of Attelboro, MA, Peter Oehlkers (Lisa) of Needham, MA and Elizabeth Wright (late Franz) of Hanover, ME; her grandchildren, Ben (Agatha), Anna, Lily and Bex; her great grandchildren, Caleb and Dorothy; her sibling's children, Jacci, Dennis (Bobbi), David (Tony) and Sarah (Derrick); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ellie, Hugo, Rachel, Cassie and Daniel; her friends, Emily, Debbie and Ivonne; Taylor, Carson, Jaydin, Jordin, Alanna, Mikah and Isabel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fellowship Hall. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (445 Elmwood Ave, Providence, RI 02907).

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to The Heifer Foundation in honor of Lois. Contributions can be made online at https://www.heifer.org.

“In loving memory of Lois A. Oehlkers, with deepest sympathies. Lois was a kind, caring and very sweet person. I remember many afternoons as a child at her home with her youngest daughter Beth. She always has a sewing table full of puppets, homemade treats and a story to share. She was truly an artist and a lover of pets as well. She will be deeply missed.”
