Michael Joseph Campbell Obituary

Michael J. Campbell, age 60, passed away December 29, 2022.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Eugene and Margaret M. (Gaudet) Campbell.

Michael was the loving brother of Donald, William, and Susan Campbell, Nancy Gianlorenzo and the late Eugene, Robert and John "Jack" Campbell. He was the devoted brother-in-law of Mary Jane, Angela and Tara Campbell and Michael Gianlorenzo. He was also the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews and will be missed greatly by his extended family and friends, especially his best friend Michael Rocchio and his family.

Michael was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enlisted in the army after graduating from LaSalle Academy.

Michael was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Boston Red Sox.

Many of Michael's nieces and nephews thought of him as a second father. He was the one they would call for help with science projects or advice on how to handle problems. Family and friends will remember Michael for his intelligence and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

His visitation will be held Thursday, January 5th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the RI Veterans' Cemetery, Exeter.
