He was predeceased by: his parents, Emile Monfils and Anna Monfils (Montigney); and his brother Robert Monfils. He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Monfils (Ploski); his children, Dan Monfils, Becky Cuellar (Silvio), Andy Monfils (Erica) and Jen Monfils; his grandchildren, Alex (Raquel, Sr.), Juan-Maria, David (Emily), Grace, Mariana, Daniel, Gaby, Natalia, Christian and Jadelyn; his great grandchildren, Violet, Lily and Rose; and his sister Mary A. Nuhibian (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home (331 Smith St, Providence, RI 02908). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Church (244 Smith St, Providence, RI 02908). A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery (301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822).
