It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peter Bibby Sr. of Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sydney, Sr. Bibby and Marjorie A. Bibby (Brabant); and his sister Marianne Hardison. He is survived by: his wife Maria Bibby (Sanchez); his children, Jeremy Bibby (Ashley) of Smithfield, Peter Bibby, Jr. (Maria) of North Scituate, Corey Bibby (Nichole) of Johnston, Michael McGovern (Sarah) of Glocester, Melissa Bibby of North Providence, Justin Bibby of East Greenwich, Diana Villegas (Jose) of Providence, Carlos Villegas and Erica Villegas; and his siblings, David Bibby of Pawtucket, Stephen Bibby (Angela) of North Providence, Sydney Bibby, Jr. (Julie) of Attleboro and Ria Kowal (Ray). He is also survived by many grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the William W. Tripp Funeral Home (1008 Newport Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861-2594). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Teresa Church (358 Newport Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861).
