He was predeceased by : his parents, Jose Diaz and Anatalia Diaz; and his siblings, Miguel and Consuela Diaz. He is survived by : his wife Lourdes Diaz (Vargas); his children, Lourdes Diaz, Yalson Diaz, Jose Diaz, Barinia Diaz, Anna Diaz and Junior Suero Diaz; and his siblings, Hugo, Papi and Griselda Diaz.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Romano Funeral Home (627 Union Ave, Providence, RI 02909). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
