He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen C. Sherman (O'Hara); his parents, Edward Sherman and Bertha Sherman (Rogler); his son Kevin P. Sherman; and his siblings, Edward Sherman and Audrey Hall.
He is survived by: his pet Lulu; and his children, Owen F. Sherman of Tennessee, Maryellen T. Hagerty (Christopher) of Warwick, John T. Sherman (Kimberlee) of Bristow, Virginia and Elizabeth A. Reichardt (Timothy) of Cranston. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren.
