He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Theodore Ellis and Irene Ellis (Perley) of Providence; his family, Surrey, Lincolnshire and England; his brother Theodore Ellis (Karen Ellis); his son Joshua Ellis (Jodi Mesolella); his grandsons, Jack and James Ellis; and his close friends, Ellen Murphy, John Recupero and Roy Zbyr.
