He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Lerner and Charlotte Lerner; and his brother Phil. He is survived by: his close friend Neil; his significant other Trudy Burdman; his daughters, Cara (Chris) and Rachel (Nate); his grandchildren, Mathilde and Gavin; his sister Marge; and his sister-in-law Carole. He is also survived by nieces, grand-nephews, dear friends.
