He was predeceased by: his parents, George F. Rush and Margaret-Mary Catterson Rush (McElroy); and his siblings, Timothy J. Catterson, Christopher M. Catterson and Maureen G. Stehle.

He is survived by: his siblings, Daniel J. Catterson, Edward F. Rush, Jr., David J. Rush, Kathleen A. Catterson, Jeanne M. Stanton, Margaret, Mary "Mickey" Catterson, Stephanie A. Catterson, George F. Catterson III and Scott A. Catterson.
