As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Veda may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elsworth Watkins and May Ann Watkins (Soares); and her brothers, James Elsworth Watkins Jr., Ronald Clarence Watkins, Jeffery John Watkins, Gregory Michael Watkins and Anthony Joseph Watkins.

She is survived by: her brother Clifton David Watkins; her children, Donald Thomas Jr., Michelle Maria Freeman and David Anthony Thomas; and her children-in-law, Donnell Freeman and Dakota Lynn Thomas. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
