He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lawrence and Minnie Lawrence (Rogers); his son Walter R. Lawrence Jr.; and his siblings, Francis Lawrence, Everett Lawrence, Norman Lawrence and Nancy Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Clara J. Lawrence (Smith); and his children, Claire Leander (James), Linda Blank, Daniel Lawrence Sr. and Dianne Alvarado (Gerry Jewett). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty‑five great‑grandchildren; and four great‑great‑grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory (721 Washington St, Coventry, RI 02816).
